Fernando Alonso – “Our cars feel very positive and our progress is encouraging. I hope we can achieve the potential we can see in the package and put a promising performance on Sunday which is what counts.” Continuing to say “The race is hard on fuel and there’ll be a lot of elements to manage”

Jenson Button – “Sochi is one of the fastest city courses that we go to so it doesn’t share many of the same characteristics in terms of set-up. The racing has been pretty good so far” On a positive note he continued to say “The car definitely feels good and we’re heading in the right direction so we just need to keep pushing and working harder”

I honestly can’t wait to see what McLaren are going to do – as a team, I think they’ve got so much potential, they’ve got the right people, the right drivers and they just need to find a way to bring it all together….

Lewis Hamilton – “I’ve won on both occasions at Russia so far and it’s a track that seems to suit me pretty well, so let’s see what I can do there”

Nico Rosberg – “I’m excited to see how we perform and I can’t wait to get to Sochi!”

Felipe Massa – “Sochi is a nice track to drive on, it’s a mix between city circuit and normal circuit. I enjoy it and have traditionally done well. It’s too early to say but hopefully it will suit this year’s car.”

Valtteri Bottas – “Russia is my neighbouring country and Sochi is a very technical track. It’s interesting to drive and always had pretty good results there.” He continued to talk about the challenges “Qualifying it’s not easy to get tyres to work quickly enough for the timed lap but hopefully we can get things fixed and ready for the weekend”

Daniel Ricciardo – “Sochi isn’t the Russia I pictured before we went there. I saw a beautiful blue beach and it’s very modern with the Olympic Park. The track hasn’t suited us in the past either, there’s low grip so let’s see what happens”

Daniil Kvyat – “It’s an important race for me and I’m very excited to get back to Russia and Sochi for the Grand Prix. It’s nice to see family, friends and everyone who supports me and the team to come to Sochi.” he continued to talk about the track, saying “It’s very modern and has few corners but they are never as easy as they might look.”

So there we have some of the drivers talking about the Russian Grand Prix, the Sochi track and what the challenges facing them are!

More to come soon ahead of this weeks Russian Grand Prix 2016!
