Formula 1: Lewis Hamilton on Pole for the 2016 Australian Grand Prix
With Lewis Hamilton beating his team-mate Nico Rosberg for pole position at the Australian Grand Prix, let’s take a look at the full qualifying report of the 2016 Formula 1 season.
So, for all of you who might be thinking (or saying) ‘this season will be the same’ – I’d reply and say don’t jump to conclusions!
It’s only the start of the new season and we have so much more to come! 🙂
Whilst Ferrari seemed promising in the final practice things didn’t seem to fall in place for the team with Vettel starting 3rd and Raikkonen 4th on the grid – ‘normal‘ results like last season.
With Lewis Hamilton paving the way with times that were already good enough for pole position, other drivers sat back in the garage ‘waiting’ to be eliminated from the Qualifying knock-out zones.
With the added pressure (time-wise) to get cars (and drivers) in and out of the pits on time meant that there were NO cars on track for the final minutes of qualifying sessions – talk about making things ‘fun’ for the audience watching at home.
