Formula 1: Australian GP P2 – Lewis Hamilton Top after Nico Rosberg Crashes
Defending his world title, Lewis Hamilton set the pace in the Australian Grand Prix Practice 2 after his team-mate Nico Rosberg crashed during the early stages.
The Albert Park track was wet, greasy with Nico Rosberg saying “I just accelerated too much and lost the car” – hitting the wall and damaging his car.
Setting the fastest lap time of 1:38:841 on the intermediate tyres, Lewis Hamilton showed everyone that the Mercedes team is still the one to beat however with P3 (practice 3) and Qualifying still to come, can we expect their closest competitors Ferrari to surprise everyone?
The Ferrari team have made significant changes to their car however we didn’t see the on-track as much during the first 2 practices in Australia, when conditions were at their best for the team.
Both Ferrari drivers are comfortable and happy with the setup of the car so we’ll have to wait and see during the first Qualifying of the F1 2016 season!
