Formula 1: Nico Rosberg Fastest in First Day Pre-Testing 2016
On the first day of the final pre-testing we saw Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg showing everyone that the team is still ‘on top-form’ however it wasn’t by the greatest margin, beating the Williams driver: Valtteri Bottas by just 0.207 seconds.
After sorting their reliability issues, Williams and Valtteri Bottas managed to bring home 123 laps with their results showing similar times to how we left things in Abu Dhabi – Mercedes, Ferrari & Williams.
Following the Mercedes policy (using both drivers in one day due to the high-mileage the team are covering) Lewis Hamilton drove in the afternoon concentrating on the race-simulation run and setting the sixth quickest time overall.
At the moment, Mercedes are showing that they’re strongest team however it doesn’t mean that their closest rival (Ferrari) won’t pull out a few surprises along the way too….
