F1 Pre Testing: Williams Driver Valtteri Bottas Fastest
Today was the day that we started to see Williams showing their fighting spirit with Valtteri Bottas setting the fastest laps – of the day!
Bringing home 108 laps and setting the fastest lap time of 123.2 – then following up with a short run on the Super Soft Tyres (123.26) and the Soft Tyres (124.0) which was a surprising 0.4 seconds slower than Hamilton on the same tyre.
Williams are showing the same confidence that we were seeing at the end of the 2015 season and it looks like they’re definitely on the right track with both their drivers (and team members) happy and feeling ready to face the 2016 season.
As much fun as pre-testing might be, we won’t see the “true” results until Melbourne’s Qualifying session.
