Fernando Alonso still to be confirmed for China – The Formula 1 Driver says he doesn’t know if he will race in the Chinese Grand Prix 2016
As we all know, Fernando Alonso was ruled out of the Bahrain Grand Prix after his big accident (post here) in Australia where he suffered with rib and lung injuries.
Posting on his social media pages, the driver has since resumed his training, constantly pushing himself and waiting to return to his seat.
In Bahrain he was replaced by McLaren’s reserve driver Stoffel Vandoorne who made his F1 debut by scoring the first of the teams points this season! Well done! 🙂
Eric Boullier, McLaren racing director said “Stoffel will be on standby until Fernando has had his routine meeting with FIA doctors on Thursday.” Continuing “Fernando has been recuperating at home and training as usual, and we, like him, hope to see him back in the car”
Hopefully we’ll have an update on Thursday about the condition of Alonso and if he’ll be given the all-clear to race in the Chinese Grand Prix!
