Hello everyone!
So, I thought it was about time that I wrote a little post about myself on here as a little introduction so you can begin to learn about me and how I became The Formula 1 Girl.
About Me
My name is Layla, I’m from the UK, originally from the North East however I now live closer to London.
As you can tell, I absolutely love Formula 1 and after so many years of watching (and following) the sport, people still think it’s weird at how much I actually enjoy the racing.
How did I get into Formula 1?
Ah, so this all started when I was a little girl!!
I remember sitting in the living room with all my toy cars, patiently waiting to see lights out and hear the engines roar.
Fast forward to today and I love the sport even more! 🙂
Earlier this year, before the 2016 season, I started searching through Formula 1 blogs and realised that there was a limited amount of females writing about motor-sport, let alone F1.
So, considering that I was already blogging full-time (Fashion & Beauty Blog) – I thought it would be a good idea to launch another blog dedicated to Formula 1.
Written by a female who could perhaps provide a different insight into the most glamourous sport whilst sharing the latest news and race-recaps.
What’s Next For The Formula 1 Girl?
Since the launch a couple of months ago, this blog has started to gain a following and I thank you all for your support so far!
I’m currently working on some brilliant projects including D2BD (Dare 2 Be Different) – launched by Susie Wolff who’s helping women get into the motor-sport industry.
