Sebastian Vettel denies any form of tension between himself and Ferrari – amid rumours of growing tensions…
Since we heard that news that Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari are ending their partnership at the end of the 2020 season, things have taken a turn for the worst with incredibly poor performances from both sides.
Maintaining that “we are doing everything we can”, it seems like Vettel is trying to handle the ongoing situation.
From the outset, it really does seem like Ferrari have turned their back on Sebastian Vettel with his car not performing as it should, when compared to his team-mate, Charles Leclerc.
There’s a major inconsistency within the team and Ferrari are putting their focus onto Leclerc, leaving Vettel further back to do the best he can – with what he has.
However, following on from the rumours and reports that things are going from bad to worse between Ferrari and Vettel, he has since spoken to the media to address the rumours.
Sebastian Vettel: “I think we are trying to do everything that we can and it’s never relaxed if things don’t go your way or if they go wrong.”
“Naturally, if you judge the emotions right after the race or during the race, I don’t think that it’s a fair reflection of what’s going on, hence why I tend to disagree. I didn’t have a great race (last week) and we tried to come back up.”
“I could have opted for a different strategy, but we didn’t, so we have spoken about it, sorted it out and moved on.”
“There isn’t much different in terms of the climate compared to this week or the week before or the week before that. I guess, it’s not just a question for myself.”
“I know what I’m capable of and I know the job that I can do. At the moment, it’s not been the cleanest run, but yeah, I’m sure things will calm down and we will get a decent chance – then I’ll use it.”
