Verstappen Replaces Kvyat At Red Bull Racing – Read More Here

It has just been announced that Max Verstappen will be replacing Daniil Kvyat ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix.

This comes after Kvyat drove into the back of Ferrari driver, Vettel – twice, at the Russian Grand Prix last week and you can see more of the incident here

Team principal of Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner said the following for the announcement of the driver line-up change.

Max has proven to be an outstanding young talent. His performance at Toro Rosso has been impressive so far and we are pleased to be giving him this opportunity to drive for Red Bull Racing”

Continuing – “We are in a very unique position to have all four drivers across Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso under long-term contracts and this means we are flexible to move them between the two teams.”

Ending by saying “Dany (Kvyat) will be able to continue his development at Toro Roso, giving him the chance to regain his form and show his potential”

So, for the Spanish Grand Prix – Max Verstappen WILL be joining Daniel Ricciardo in the Red Bull Racing team and Daniil Kvyat will re-join the sister team at Scuderia Toro Rosso.

Thank you to Red Bull Racing for providing this statement!
