The Spanish Grand Prix Qualifying is about to begin at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya….
Qualifying 1
Wehrlein first car on the track for Qualifying 1 along with team-mate Haryanto.
Sauber driver, Ericsson has now joined the track…
Hamilton has made his way onto the track using a new set of soft tyres… however his team-mate Rosberg has beaten him setting a faster lap time of 1:23:002.
Verstappen goes third quickest beating Ferrari driver Raikkonen – Vettel goes fifth fastest behind Raikkonen on his first lap of Qualifying 1.
Ricciardo sets his lap of 1:23:749 in fourth place behind his team-mate Verstappen who’s still in third with his time of 1:23:578
Alonso’s first lap of Qualifying lands him in 10th place whilst his team-mate Button comes 12th and pushes Massa OUT of Q1 along with Palmer.

Massa explains that it was a mis-calculation and due to a ‘timing error’ that he didn’t get out onto the track in time for Qualifying 1.
Qualifying 2
Hamilton first driver on track for Qualifying 2 followed by team-mate Rosberg.
Spanish-driver Alonso is now on track….setting his time and making his way to fourth place and dropping to 7th after Verstappen sets his time and claiming 3rd place…. so far….
Raikkonen and Vettel have both joined the track for Qualifying 2
Vettel fourth fastest with Verstappen in third place – Raikkonen comes into the pits and is now back on track for his qualifying lap.
Raikkonen now in fourth place with his team-mate Vettel in fifth. Verstappen still ahead of both Ferrari drivers – a brilliant Red Bull debut!
Alonso currently in 9th with team-mate Button in 10th.
Fernando Alonso stays in 10th place making it through to Qualifying 3 – well done as it’s been a long time coming and the team do deserve getting both but in this case, one car through to Qualifying 3.

Qualifying 3
Lewis Hamilton is the first car on track – followed by Rosberg.
Hamilton locks-up and sets his time of 1:23:277 on the other hand his team-mate sets the fastest lap of 1:22:475 and is now on provisional pole. Hamilton has set a faster lap so lets see what he can do!
Raikkonen is now on track along with Verstappen….. Ferrari don’t look too good on-track with Vettel setting a lap-time for 4th place and team-mate Raikkonen in 5th – once again Verstappen is ahead in 2nd place between the two Mercedes drivers!
Lewis Hamilton is back on track to improve on his lap-time, it’s looking good…
Hamilton is on pole with a 1:22:000 – Rosberg in second place followed by Ricciardo, Verstappen, Raikkonen, Vettel, Bottas, Sainz, Perez and Alonso in 10th.
