Nico Rosberg Retires From Formula 1
It hasn’t even been a week since he won the Formula 1 World Championship at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last week however Nico Rosberg has announced that he is retiring from Formula 1.
The 31-year old and Mercedes released a statement saying the following – “The last two years losing to Lewis Hamilton were very difficult which fuelled my motivation even more. I didn’t leave a stone unturned and I did absolutely everything I could.“
“Lewis is one of the best drivers out there and to beat him was very tough – I have achieved my childhood dream and I can’t make that commitment again” saying he wants to spend more time with his family from now on.
Bringing his 10 year career to an end – who’s going to replace him at Mercedes?
