Nico Rosberg Leads The Drivers Championship After Singapore
So this season hasn’t been plain-sailing.
The drivers championship has changed between the two Mercedes drivers and with 6 races remaining, Nico Rosberg leaves the Singapore Grand Prix 8 points ahead of his team-mate.
At the beginning of the season, Rosberg looked like the confident driver out of the two – he had found balance with his car and it suited him well, leading the championship (then) by 43 points and with many people suggesting that it was ‘too late’ for Hamilton to catch up.
Fast forward to the summer break and Rosberg was 19 points behind his team-mate however he seems to have found his confidence again and is now back in the lead of the driver championship with many fans loving the way this season is turning out.
Personally – I think it would be even better to see another driver or team in the mix for the points in the championship like Red Bull or Ferrari however Mercedes are still proving to be the dominant team but not as strong as they were…..
So, onwards and upwards to Malaysia – we still have plenty of races to get through and anything can still happen!
