Formula 1 – Ferrari: “Not Giving Up” on the Championship

Formula 1 – Ferrari: “Not Giving Up” on the championship – Read More From Maurizio Arrivabene

Ferrari team boss Maurizio Arrivabene is still confident that the Italian team can bounce back and be in the running for the Championship despite everything that’s been going on.

Kimi Raikkonen managed to get on the podium in yesterday’s Russian Grand Prix and is now 57 points behind Rosberg whilst his team-mate Vettel is 67 points behind after another collision with Kvyat.

It’s been an unlucky year for Ferrari so far – with unreliability being the main reason for their lack of points, only once in 2016 have both Ferrari cars gotten to the chequered flag, with other incidents being out of their control.

Concerning the championship, we are not giving up. The team won’t give up and we are putting all our energy into the next 17 races” Arrivabene continued to say “We are not the team who likes to win comfortable, we are looking for a big challenge. What happened today is part of a racing story and I don’t think of things as ‘bad luck’ – these are mostly human mistakes”

I prefer to have these problems now instead of later in the season but as a team we need to make sure that this doesn’t happen again”

We’re all still waiting to see a challenge for the Mercedes team, especially Nico Rosberg – after Hamilton’s reliability issues and problems for Ferrari he’s managing to stay ahead of everyone but for how long?

Hopefully things will get sorted in the next couple of weeks where we should be seeing plenty of upgrades for the Barcelona Grand Prix!
