Lewis Hamilton reporting “All is feeling good” before making his way to the race start.
Race Start
Lap 1 – The two Ferrari’s have crashed, Hamilton has been hit with his front wing under his car…Ricciardo currently leading the race.
Lap 2 – Vettel overtakes Massa, slowly making his way through the grid – Ricciardo still leading, Massa trying to overtake Button however Button keeps his place.
Lap 3 – Rosberg overtakes Ricciardo however Ricciardo is suffering with a big puncture….
Lap 4 – Safety Car
Teams currently pitting their cars…Ferrari change the nose on Vettel’s car, Hamilton just came into pits to change tyres.
Lap 7 – Hamilton pits again, changing to another set of supersoft tyres….
Lap 8 – Rosberg, Massa, Alonso – top three behind the safety car…
Lap 9 – Kvyat picks up two places, Vettel up into 12th and making his way through the grid….
Lap 11 – Vettel and Bottas nearly come together – Bottas still ahead, Hamilton now ahead of Kimi Raikkonen.
Lap 12 – Vettel is now in seventh place making his way past Bottas and Guitierrez and also makes his way past Wehrlein – now in sixth place…
Lap 13 – Hamilton trying to make his way past Ricciardo – Ricciardo still ahead of Hamilton…
Lap 14 – Vettel behind Alonso with Vettel’s team saying “push hard”
Lap 15 – Lewis Hamilton has gone from last and is now in 11th place, nearly into the points….
Lap 16 – Hamilton now into the points overtaking old team-mate Button and is now in 10th place, into the points…
Lap 18 – Vettel coming into the pits for a change of tyre….no change of nose
Lap 20 – Kvyat pits and Massa comes into the pits too…. Vettel trying to overtake Verstappen but Verstappen wants to fight for his place in seventh…
Lap 21 – Vettel now overtakes Jenson Button – top 3 are currently Rosberg, Bottas and Hamilton!
Lap 22 – Alonso up into 11th place, Hamilton pits and drops to 14th place…
Lap 27 – Button gets overtaken by old team-mate Perez, closely followed by Bottas who’s now in sixth place…
Lap 28 – Hamilton back into the points, top 10 behind Raikkonen….
Lap 29 – Top 3 – Rosberg, Kvyat and Vettel… Verstappen now into 11th place, making his way past Alonso.
Lap 36 – Vettel and Kvyat into pits – Kvyat back out into third, Vettel in fourth and Raikkonen in fifth…
Lap 37 – Vettel now overtakes Kvyat and is up into third place….
Lap 38 – Top 3, Rosberg, Ricciardo and Vettel
Lap 40 – Massa overtakes Verstappen along Bottas and Hamilton – now a battle between the three….
Lap 41 – Ricciardo dives past Bottas making his way to sixth place after pitting and dropping down the grid…
Lap 43 – Ricciardo makes his way past Hamilton into a corner, now into fifth place… Massa ahead of both in fourth….
Lap 44 – Raikkonen makes his way past Bottas and is now up into seventh place…..
Lap 47 – Raikkonen and Hamilton extremely close – Raikkonen making his way past Hamilton and now catching Massa in fifth place…
Lap 48 – Raikkonen now makes his way past Massa and is up into fifth place, much to the delight of the Ferrari team and crowd….
Lap 53 – Alonso and Button – battling each other for 12th place…..
Lap 55 – Verstappen overtakes Bottas and is now into eighth place…Bottas is losing grip….
Lap 56 – Nico Rosberg wins the Chinese Grand Prix 2016 followed by Sebastian Vettel in second place in Kvyat in Third followed by Ricciardo in Fourth place…. Lewis Hamilton finishes in seventh place from the back of the grid.
