Chinese Grand Prix Qualifying Lineup – Here’s who’s’ on track ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix tomorrow!
It might have been a surprising result with Ricciardo finding the pace, making it to second place and starting ahead of Kimi Raikkonen in tomorrow’s Formula 1 Grand Prix!
Here’s what a few of the drivers have said following Qualifying at the Shanghai track….
Rosberg – “The whole weekend has gone well. To get the lap done and put it on pole, I’m happy with that. Lewis had bad luck and broke down. The fight didn’t happen but I’m pleased”
Ricciardo – “To be honest with qualifying, I didn’t think we started in the best position with balance. We didn’t really seem to know we were going to be in a fight with the front few. Second is pretty awesome, we didn’t expect this!”
Raikkonen – “The pervious run and on the same corner, I ran very deep – too deep. The last one was quite a bit up on that lap but I ran wide on the hairpin and obviously lost a lot of time. It’s a shame, we had a chance to be on top today but that’s how it goes, We’ll try our best tomorrow”
Vettel – “We saved a set of tyres, I was happy and confident I could make it in the first lap – but I didn’t. I wasn’t happy after a couple of small mistakes here and there. We’ll see, it’ll be interesting to see how the race unfolds and see how we start. I’m confident and think we can be quicker than Red Bull tomorrow – our target is to get forward for where we are now” and continued “Unfortunately my lap wasn’t good enough.”
Toto Wolff on Hamilton’s Issue – “We don’t know the problem yet – it’s on the system and we need to check it, find the root cause and work out what we need to change. Ferrari are a threat because the long runs are very good, we are taking the seriously”
