Fernando Alonso Misses Being in Formula 1 Battles
The double world champion is arguably one of the most experienced (and best) drivers on the grid and he’s not one to shy away when things get tough.
He often shows his disappointment however in the 2016 Formula 1 season, the driver took a more laid back approach and has recently admitted that he misses being a part of the Formula 1 title battles.
Since his surprising switch from Ferrari to McLaren – he hasn’t had the best of luck (remember his accident last year?) or the car to allow him to challenge and push for wins.
“You train, you do the simulator, you go to the factory, you do the events, you do the media, you do whatever you can to be competitive and on Sundays, you fight for the title!“
“It’s been four years. I miss this feeling of arriving (to the track) with possibilities but on the other hand I also feel extremely lucky to have been able to feel that pressure and have those emotions already five times, winning two, because there are many people that have huge talent but never race in Formula 1.“
“Of course I feel very lucky but I miss it.“
McLaren have definitely had their ups and downs over the past few years but they do have a lot of talent on their team and have thrown a lot of money into the development of the 2017 Car so let’s wait and see what the 2017 Formula 1 season will bring with all the new developments and regulations.

It would be great to see him back at the top of the grid! He provided a lot of great racing and kept the respect there with a few pushes too far here and there….
I hope McLaren can do something, they have talented people within their team and it’s a shame to see a team not do as good as their potential! 🙂
We all love alonso
