Fernando Alonso ‘Provisionally Cleared‘ to race in the Chinese Grand Prix 2016
For all Fernando Alonso fans this will be music to your ears – The Formula 1 driver has been ‘provisionally cleared‘ to race ahead of this weekends Chinese Grand Prix however he still has to undergo further tests following P1 (Practice 1) at the Shanghai Circuit.
Since his accident in Australia (opening-race of the season) Alonso has been suffering with broken ribs and injuries to his lungs which led to him being forced to miss the Bahrain Grand Prix a couple of weeks ago.
If you were watching the coverage, you will have seen him sitting at the McLaren pitwall – keeping an eye on everything that was happening during the race weekend.
Determined to get back into the racing seat, Alonso has been sharing videos and pictures on his social media which are showing him getting back into his daily training and exercise regime.
Earlier today he suggested that it will be the best to re-evaluate himself and his condition after the first practice on Friday to make sure he is race-ready.
