Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix – All We Know
It has just been reported that Formula 1 has signed a deal for a second race in America – the Miami Grand Prix, a race (and circuit) which we have been speaking about for a few years….
During the initial circuit talk, we had some drivers (including Lewis Hamilton) getting involved in the design they wanted to see for the circuit but below, we have all the details which we know – so far!
Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix – Date
At the moment, the exact date hasn’t been set however the Formula 1 President, Stefano Domenicali has said that there is the expectation of the race taking place in the second quarter of 2022.
This is a part of a 10-year deal.
Formula 1 Miami Grand Pix – Circuit
According to reports, the circuit will be 5.45km and will feature 19 corners, three straights and there’s talks of 3 DRS zones.
The top speeds which could be seen will be 320km/h.
The Hard Rock Stadium is a multi purpose sports and entertainment area which has is known for hosting six Super Bowls and numerous concerts – this will sit at the heart of the track and has been designs to encourage close racing – something we all want to see, whilst meeting the highest safety standards.
This will be an additional race in the US – the other race is in Austin at The Circuit of The Americas.
