Hungarian Grand Prix Practice – Rosberg Top After Hamilton Crash
What a day! The Hungarian Grand Prix Practice was one not to be missed with the newly-signed Rosberg taking advantage of Lewis Hamilton’s crash in practice two.
After dominating the first practice session in Hungary, it looked like he was set to dominate the rest of the session however things took a turn for the worst and 15 minutes into Practice 2, Hamilton locked up his tyres, going into the barriers and ending his session.
Taking full advantage of this, Rosberg then set the quickest time of the session – so quick in fact that his lap time is almost 2 seconds of the lap record!
Despite his session ending early, Hamilton still came fifth on the time sheets above Kimi Raikkonen and below Max Verstappen.
Many of the drivers were caught out during the practice session and this could be down to the new asphalt (which we’ve seen quite often this year) at the Hungaroring track.
There’s still one more practice session tomorrow along with qualifying so we’re bound to see different times with all the drivers pushing the car to the maximum to hopefully qualifying in a better position.
