Ferrari and Mick Schumacher: “The door of Maranello is always open”

Earlier, we saw what Dr Helmut Marko had to say about Mick Schumacher and the rumours about him joining the Toro Rosso team however here, we have a completely different tone from Ferrari and Maurizio Arrivabene who has nothing but positive things to say about Ferrari and Mick Schumacher saying “the door of Maranello is always open” in contract to Dr Helmut Marko.

Mick Schumacher is currently making his way through the ranks, racing in the Formula 3 European Championship where he’s now just points behind the leader, Dan Ticktum.

Within Formula 1, he already has a lot of support from fans around the world but also respect from other drivers with F1 – making an appearance at the German Grand Prix and also Monza where he presented Kimi Raikkonen with the pole position award.

Here’s what Maurizio Arrivabene had to say about Ferrari and Mick Schumacher – a pairing which we’re likely to see at some point in the future.

Maurizio Arrivabene: “The recent results he has had are very good and I would like to wish him a great career. The most important thing is to let him grow – without giving pressure.”

“With a name like this (Schumacher) that wrote historical pages of Ferrari history, the door of Maranello is always open but without burning the step. That is a family decision, I mean a Schumacher family decision.”

“Let the guys have fun – I always repeat this: be focused, concentrated but in the meantime, it’s important to have fun and grow slowly but certainly – then we can see about the future.”

“Look, how can you say ‘no’ at Maranello to a name like this?”

So despite the ‘no’ from Dr Helmut Marko, Mick Schumacher has the backing of Ferrari and as Maurizio Arrivabane said – “the door of Maranello is always open.”

The Formula 1 Girl 🙂
