It’s back!! We’re getting ready for the race day and here you can see ALL the latest from the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix Testing – LIVE
We have a few posts coming up all about the new regulations and what you need to know for the season ahead but for now – here is all the latest from Australia!
Hamilton – “In testing for me, it looks like Ferrari are the fastest. In testing we couldn’t match their times so when we get out there this weekend, it’ll be interesting to see where we’ve come from testing, what we’ve learnt and how we’ve applied it.”
Vettel – “Whether we can trust what people are saying that doesn’t really matter, I think it’s been a long task to get this car together – a big challenge and obviously the regulations change a lot. If you win races then you also start to talk about the Championship but not before – it’s March! I’m not a genius and it doesn’t take a genius to know that March, April, May – the first two thirds of a championship you don’t focus on the (actual) championship, you just go race by race and see where it takes you.“
Ricciardo – “I don’t believe that we executed a perfect day in testing and we’ve also got new parts so that combination will make us faster – will it make us as quick as Mercedes or Ferrari? It would be a good effort if we got it up to there by this race but I don’t think we’re miles off so you’ll see us quicker.“

P1 has now started.
Drivers are making their way round the track.
Hamilton – “Change my boots when I come in“
Hamilton actually does change his boots on returning to the pits.
Things have gone a little bit quite but now Williams (Lance Stroll) are the first to be back out on track.
The Sauber of Marcus Ericsson is now making his way round the track.
Lewis Hamilton is now on-track.
Vandoorne managed a couple of laps and is now back in the pits. Water pressure loss on his car and mechanics are currently working on it.
Verstappen reporting a problem – this has now been fixed and is ready to go back on-track.
Stoffel Vandoorne is still suffering with a problem – mechanics are still working on his car.
After working on his car – Stoffel Vandoorne is now on an out lap.
Kimi Raikkonen is now getting ready to go out on track.
Bottas goes wide over a few bumps.
Hamilton is currently half a second faster than his team-mate – he’s setting the bar.
Both Ferrari’s are out on-track, at the moment Raikkonen is faster than his team mate.
A problem with Wehrlein’s car – he’s currently in the pits and has been approved to race this weekend after going through (and passing)a fitness test since his accident for Race of Champions in Miami which left him with an injured back.
Vandoorne is currently the slowest driver
