“Ferrari Looking Ahead” – Maurizio Arrivabene
Questions are being asked about what’s going on at Ferrari.
It’s not the team which we expected to see this season and with rumours about James Allison leaving and Sebastian Vettel being unhappy in the team…. here’s what team boss, Maurizio Arrivabene had to say after the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Question – Maurizio, what’s your opinion about the Kimi and Max battle?
Maurizio Arrivabene – “Now the race is over, I am calm! During the battle I was going ballistic on the pit wall. The rules are clear that you change the side one time and make one move. We believe he has made two moves.”
Question – The First half of the season is nearly over and Ferrari have come under pressure from the Red Bull Racing team. What’s the plan for the second half?
Maurizio Arrivabene – “From my side, things are clear – you have to look ahead, not behind. In the end we must not get distracted by what is going on around us.“
Question – Lately, the rumour mill is working strong when it comes to Ferrari, James Allison is leaving and Sebastian is no longer happy at Ferrari. Sebastian is blaming the media for all these irritations. What about you?
Maurizio Arrivabene – “That is the charm of Ferrari. Some weeks ago we had the rumours on Kimi, then Allison and now Seb. The good news is that nobody would write about something boring so we must be considered super interesting.”
Onwards and upwards as they say – hopefully Ferrari will be able to find a balance within the team, the car is still suffering with unreliabilities and they don’t seem to have the consistency for every race.
Both Vettel and Raikkonen are great drivers but they just can’t get the most out of the car at the moment and when you look at Red Bull and the Mercedes boys – you can just see how comfortable and happy they all are with the car and the performance.
