2024 Miami Grand Prix – Key Points

During the early parts of the race, Norris was in P6 with his team-mate, Oscar Piastri looking to take P2 by running a strong stint.
With a Safety Car making an appearance during the mid-point of the race, the McLaren team brought in Norris, changed tyres and as Norris emerged from the pits, he took the lead with a great pit-stop from the team.
Max Verstappen and the Red Bull Racing team fell back into P2 and Lando Norris maintained the lead, behind the Safety Car – keeping the gap even when the race resumed.
Building a good lead, the driver kept his cool and maintained the distance between himself and his rival in P2.
No other stops took place for the race leader and McLaren albeit nervous, also kept their cool – just referencing to Oscar Piastri to stay calm as they didn’t want another Safety Car during his battles.
