Brief Reaction From Drivers – Bahrain Grand Prix 2018

Sebastian Vettel: “Yeah it was quite intense. I’m really happy that I got the second run through, the car was excellent all weekend so far, so yeah.”

“When the car responds to what you want to do – it’s the best, when it doesn’t – it’s a fight. We have proved things yesterday and today so I’m very pleased.”

Kimi Raikkonen: “For sure it’s not ideal – but there’s nothing I can do. We will see tomorrow which is the main thing. Tomorrow is the time we get the points or we don’t get the points.”

Valtteri Bottas: “I think the car felt OK towards the end and when you need to put everything all together – we more or less got it. We can’t be happy with this so we will look forward to tomorrow. I think it will be a close race – especially with Lewis and the Red Bulls.”

Sebastian Vettel: “I feel good now, tomorrow is a different story. The car is quick but we need to see how we will make the tyres last here and we are looking forward to tomorrow.”

Daniel Ricciardo will be starting the race in P4 following the penalty for Hamilton so a great result for the Red Bull driver too. Bottas is in the mix and this will play a part in Hamilton’s race too so it looks like we have a great race on our hands tomorrow.

Daniel Ricciardo: “This was closer than expected but it’s frustrating to be at the other end of the battle. I don’t think I could have gotten further up the grid because I think Lewis had a few seconds on me. I’m always excited for the race – Sunday is my favourite day of the week.”

Max Verstappen: “I studied the data before I came to the interviews and there was a problem with the power – one moment there was power, then it goes off a little and then I had 150 extra horsepower so I went off and didn’t anticipate it.”

“The race tomorrow should be good – I can make my way through up to around P5 I think.”

There’s lots more on the way so make sure you check back for all the latest!
